Chartered in 1986, Chapter #66, the Redwood Chapter, started their fund raising activities with fund raiser parties, raffles, a fireworks booth, and built a "fish and chips" food trailer.  Then, in the early 90´s, Chapter 66 started Bingo at the Fairgrounds. From 1995 to 1998, the Chapter was able to donate over $164,000 to scholarships, many city and county agencies, a new Senior Citizens´ Nutrition Center, and supported advanced training and the purchase of  necessary equipment for the Del Norte Search and Rescue Unit.

Since 1986, the membership has changed, but always has about 60 very active members, of which  more than half are law enforcement, currently including the Sheriff, District Attorney, Superior Court Judge, Probation, City Police, both active and retired, Firemen, and the California Highway Patrol.
